Storm: The First Black Female Superhero

Who Was The First Black Female Superhero

Storm is the first black female superhero created by Marvel in 1975.

While there have been a number of black female superheroes over the years, only a handful have made it into the mainstream.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of black female superheroes, thanks in part to movies like Black Panther and television shows like Luke Cage.

Although Storm as the first black female superhero was originally designed as a supporting character for Captain America, Storm quickly became a fan-favorite in her own right.

Storm has played out her role as the first black female superhero as a member of the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the Avengers.

Storm’s success as the first black female superhero has paved the way for other black male and female superheroes to become Pop Culture Icons.
